Recipe: Pesto Turkey Meatballs or Pesto Turkey Burgers

Our Sea Asparagus Pesto is packed with superfood sea asparagus (salicornia) and all the flavor you expect from a delicious pesto sauce, and delivers a nutritious punch without sacrificing flavor. Just try these turkey meatballs or burgers for your easy weeknight meal.
Makes 18 Meatballs or 4 Burger Patties
1 lb ground turkey
½ c. breadcrumbs
¼ c. milk
¼ c. grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
Pinch of nutmeg
2 Tbsp olive oil
Season the meat with salt and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Soak the breadcrumbs in milk.
Combine all ingredients into a bowl and gently mix with your hands until just incorporated. Form into balls or patties. If making meatballs, scoop approximately 1.5 tablespoons of meat mixture and gentle form into a ball. If making burgers, divide meat into 4 evenly-sized patties.
Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat until oil is shimmering. Add meatballs and cook until browned and cooked through.
Serve on your favorite pasta or as a sandwich!
