WILD ALASKAN PROVISIONS

Recipe: The Best Dill or Spicy Pickle Dip or Spread

There’s something about the way creamy and tangy come into concert that creates a flavor and texture symphony. For your next potluck or picnic, bring this dip and watch it disappear! Or slather it on hot dogs or on toasted hamburger buns at your next BBQ and watch all your friends grovel at your feet in amazement. The secret ingredient? Kelp! Our Pickles are made from wild-harvested pure Alaskan kelp, bringing a unique flavor to this recipe that just cannot be replicated anywhere else. We LOVE this with our Spicy Pickles, but we have several fans who agree that Dill Pickles and Bread & Butter Pickles all work equally well.

Ingredients

Makes 4 cups

8 oz. container sour cream

8 oz cream cheese, softened (or purchase the whipped style)

1 c diced Foraged & Found Pickles (any flavor)

¼ c pickle juice

2 garlic cloves, finely minced

1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

If Using Dill Pickles:

2 Tbsp fresh dill, chopped

If Using Spicy Pickles:

2 Tbsp pickled peppers & garlic, chopped (from your jar of Spicy Pickles)

If Using Bread & Butter Pickles:

2 Tbsp pickled garlic & onions (from your jar of Bread & Butter Pickles)

Method

Mix together all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight. Serve with potato chips or use as a topper for hot dogs & hamburgers.
