ABOUT FORAGED & FOUND

Foraged & Found was founded in 2017 by Jenn Brown, a former private chef who cooked onboard tourism yachts that traveled along the Alaskan Inside Passage. She was immediately astounded by the majestic, awe-inspiring unspoiled Alaskan wilderness. Exploring the natural richness of every waterway and forest resulted in unique and incredible culinary discoveries-from fish and edible aquatic plants to berries, veggies, and mushrooms-that she had never seen before. With a desire to share these newfound secrets with the world, she put her expertise to work developing delicious, familiar food products like salsas, pickles, and sauces, with wild-foraged Alaskan superfood ingredients like bull kelp and sea asparagus. Jenn's passion to showcase these foods, while also protecting and maintaining the splendor of the environment, has given rise to a meaningful mission.

Joined by business partner Chelsea Goucher, an Alaskan-born woman who shares Jenn's passion, Foraged & Found is committed to revolutionizing the way humans think about food systems, promoting manufacturing in Alaska, creating jobs, and supporting the work being done to promote mariculture and expand fisheries by organizations like Southeast Conference and the Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation.

FORAGING IN ALASKA

What are wild-foraged ingredients? They are exactly what they sound like! We literally go out into the Alaskan wilderness and pristine local waterways of Ketchikan and hand-pick the key ingredients in our uniquely Alaskan products. Wild harvested aquatic plants like kelp and sea asparagus are central to the flavors and nutritional profiles of our pickles, salsas, sauces, and pesto, and provide trace minerals not often found in soil-farmed foods. Our wild food products are are calcium-rich, provide an excellent source of iodine, carry vitamins and minerals in quantities rarely seen outside of supplement form, and enhance the flavor of your favorite meals. Wild harvested Alaskan vegetables are super-charged super foods that you'll find nowhere else on Earth!
